EVE at the CAS Film Festival

EVE's community film-making group at The Digital Hub received an award last Wednesday, October 10th, for their participation in The Community Action against Suicide Film Festival.

The EVE Digital Hub group made a film entitled 'The Garden of Hope' which focused on ways in which we can protect our mental health and maintain wellness. The Film Festival night was held in The Clarion Hotel in Liffey Valley, and sponsored by O2 Think Big.

The CAS film festival, was organised by Collinstown Park Community College transition year students, who received funding from O2 to make films around the theme of suicide and mental health awareness for young people in Ireland. The evening was attended by over 500 guests and was a rousing success, in addition to 25 films made by community groups being shown, there was entertainment provided by Reel Style, a local Irish Dancing group, as well as several community choirs. At the end of the event Noel Kelly, the organiser, expressed his desire that this Film Festival should become an annual event.
