EVE Plantmarket Open Day

Step into Spring

EVE Plantmarket is having an open day on the 11th of April between 10am and 2pm.

There is hive of activity in the centre at the moment. It’s time to ‘Step into Spring’; a great opportunity to see the centre during the growing season and the positive impact it can have on people’s lives.

Plantmarket runs three full time programmes ranging from 18 months to 24 months in duration. These are QQI accredited courses in Employability Skills, Horticulture and Retail Practice. EVE Plantmarket gives people who may have experienced mental health difficulties an opportunity to develop career skills, personal confidence, social/listening skills and to prepare them in a rounded way for starting out in work or progressing to further or higher education.

EVE Plantmarket has a constant intake of students, so individuals can begin a course at any time. EVE Plantmarket offers individuals an opportunity to come together and learn in a supportive environment which allows space for recovery. All programmes adhere to stress free learning principals which cater to individual needs and allow greater time allocation to complete modules. There are less exams and more emphasis on portfolio/practical and project work. Social outings and trips are built in to all courses and a Personal Development programme is delivered once a week.

Students will receive a weekly allowance as per DDLETB Training allowances (Equivalent to your Disability/Social Welfare Allowance). These allowances will not affect any additional Social Welfare/Health Service benefits, if applicable. In addition each individual receives a €20 training bonus based on attendance.

Plantmarket students and staff look forward to seeing you on the day. Please RSVP with numbers if possible on (01) 843 7351.
