A Pitch for Shane

Pitch For Shane: Thanks to everybody for taking part in the “Pitch for Shane” it opened in Limerick on Wednesday November the 9th in Istabraq Hall, Limerick City council, Merchants Quay, Limerick. 

It is open Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm until 23rd of December 2011.

There were over 20,000 pieces made and EVE participants and staff made 550 well done!

Pitch For Shane: In 2009 rugby player Shane Geoghegan from Limerick was brutally gunned down in a case of mistaken identity. Today his family continue to campaign against the culture of violence in memory of Shane.

A piece entitled "A pitch for Shane" was telivised on TG4 last night, 17th November 2011.
In this episode Tristan sees the launch of the Pitch for Shane exhibition in Limerick city, featuring clay figures from people around the country including An Taoiseach Enda Kenny.
