EVE Cherryfield participants and staff took part in a worldwide display of windmills as part of an international day of peace.
Over the whole week participants in EVE Cherryfield created windmills, which for some reflected their thoughts about peace, love, tolerance and harmony. For others it reflected a state of calm and serenity, with no anxiety, the absence of violence, freedom from conflict or disagreement among people.
The windmills were planted outside on Friday 20th, just one day before of the International World Peace Day, 21st September. Participants wish the windmills to serve as a public statement and hope that the spinning of the windmills in the wind will spread thoughts and feelings about peace throughout the country and the world.
Last year more than one million windmills were spinning in over 2,350 locations around the world and this year was the first time that Cherryfield has taken part.
