Living Well: Working Well

World Mental Health Day

It was World Mental Health day on the 10th of October. Service Users, members and staff all met up at the Phoenix Park to complete a 2 km walk and talk event. The EVE Connect team planned a short route in order for everyone to walk and talk in comfort. This walk allowed opportunity for everybody to meet other service users and members from various EVE Centres. This walk was to raise awareness of mental health issues around the world and to mobilize efforts in support of mental health.

The turnout was amazing and it was great to see everyone out enjoying themselves, socializing and getting involved. Everyone that attended was provided with a green ribbon which represented change.

After the short walk everyone was provided with refreshments and was given an opportunity to talk and discuss what makes them happy.

Overall this day was a really successful event and all service users, members and staff took great pleasure in offering support and awareness around mental health. All involved really enjoyed the event. Having the good weather on our side definitely helped!

We look forward to the next event.
