Some of the students and staff from Tuiscint HUB went on a road trip down to Ratheniska, Co Laois on the 22nd September. They got on road for 9:30am and made tracks to Co. Laois. They arrived just after 11am which was right in time for the show.
Unfortunately the weather was not on their side but regardless they had a great day. All the crew were all prepared with their welly boots and rain protective gear, thankfully!
The Tuiscint crew had lunch, explored through the stalls and food markets, attended the ploughing competitions and went to the RTE tent were they saw Joe Duffy and Mike Denver. Mark was lucky enough to get the last Mike Denver hat, he was delighted!
It was reported that the guys got free apple seeds for planting and lots of free snacks.
Overall, this trip was a great experience for all involved.
