The grounds of Brú Chaoimhín Campus were the venue for the EVE Health and Wellness Day which took place on Thursday June 20th 2024. Organised by the EVE Connects team, a range of activities and information stands were offered to support health and wellness.
Participants were able to sample many activities that promote wellbeing, including relaxing and contemplative sessions of Yoga, Tai Chi and Mindfulness
The Laughter Yoga was a big hit and people also enjoyed participating in the drumming circle.
The folks from Cherryfield HUB provided fun games for everyone to partake in and enjoy. The superb Yoga lessons were kindly facilitated by Dublin City Council.
Music and Art workshops for wellbeing were available and many enjoyed getting in touch with their creative side.
There were refreshments for everyone which were organised by participants/members from various centres.
There was a fantastic turnout for the event, and it was a great opportunity for participants/members and staff to meetup with people from the other centres and to make new connections and friends.
As well as the many fun activities, there were also many information stands with experts providing helpful advice on many topics including citizen’s information, money and budgeting services, housing services and staff health and wellbeing.
Advisors from SHINE and Mental Health Ireland were on hand to provide information about the support and services that they offer.
The local HSE Health Promotion Team were also on hand to offer advice, as were representatives from Dublin City Council.
EVE would like to give a special thanks to everyone involved in the organisation of the Health and Wellness Day for their hard work and enthusiasm and to everyone for coming together and participating in a fantastic day.
